Vice President and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris made an appearance on a recent episode of Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast, discussing critical topics such as abortion rights, student loan forgiveness, and comments made by Donald Trump and JD Vance.
Released on Sunday, the episode featured Harris taking aim at Trump’s views on women’s rights and reproductive freedom, particularly in the wake of the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
During the conversation, Harris addressed Trump’s false claim from September’s presidential debate, where he alleged that Democrats support the “execution” of babies after birth. “That is not happening anywhere in the United States. It’s a bold-faced lie. Just a bold-faced lie that he is suggesting,” she asserted. “Can you imagine him suggesting that women in their ninth month of pregnancy are choosing to have an abortion? Are you kidding? That is so outrageously inaccurate and insulting to propose that it would happen. It’s simply not occurring anywhere.”
“This guy is full of lies,” Harris added candidly, emphasizing her frustration with Trump’s rhetoric.
Harris also reacted to Trump’s statement at a rally on September 23, where he told women, “You will be protected, and I will be your protector.” She pointed out the hypocrisy of his words, stating, “He, who, when he was president, hand-selected three members of the United States Supreme Court with the intention of dismantling the protections established by Roe v. Wade, which he successfully did. Now, there are 20 states with Trump abortion bans, including those with no exceptions for rape or incest. This means telling a survivor of a crime that they don’t have the right to make decisions about their own body is immoral.”
She continued, “This is the same guy who said women should be punished for having abortions and uses derogatory language to describe them. So there you go.”
In another part of the interview, Harris responded to JD Vance’s derogatory remark about “childless cat ladies” made during a 2021 interview with Tucker Carlson. “I just think it’s mean and mean-spirited,” she remarked. “Most Americans want leaders who understand that true strength lies not in tearing others down but in uplifting those around you.”
