“Weird Al” Yankovic is set to embark on a grandiose tour in 2025 titled Bigger & Weirder, marking an exhilarating return to the stage with a lavish presentation. This tour promises a robust backing band, dazzling costume changes, and cutting-edge video displays, all while reintroducing his beloved parody songs. This revival comes on the heels of 2022’s The Unfortunate Return of The Ridiculously Self-Indulgent Ill-Advised Vanity Tour, which eschewed extravagance in favor of an intimate experience focused on lesser-known tracks from his extensive discography.
“This tour embodies a ‘best of both worlds’ concept,” Yankovic remarked in a press release. “We will deliver all the fan-favorite parodies along with some deep cuts for the die-hard enthusiasts—but with double the musicians on stage, expect a sound that is exponentially richer!”
Kicking off on June 13, 2025, the tour will commence with a five-night residency at The Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada, before traversing the United States over the subsequent three months. A notable highlight includes a performance at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden on July 12, signifying Yankovic’s inaugural appearance at this legendary venue in his illustrious four-decade career.
Since his last album, Mandatory Fun, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2014, Yankovic has diverted his energies toward a variety of projects, including the satirical biopic Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, numerous concert tours, and standalone polka singles such as “The Hamilton Polka” (2018) and “Polkamania!” (2024). However, the release of new parody songs appears to be on the back burner.
“I find myself at a stage in life where I yearn to explore new avenues,” he shared with Rolling Stone in July. “After adhering to the same creative formula for four decades, I aspire to engage more deeply in film and television, while nurturing my passion for voice acting. While music and touring remain integral to me, the creation of new parodies isn’t currently my priority.”
Joining Yankovic on this eclectic tour will be Puddles Pity Party (Michael Geier), a towering clown renowned for his operatic vocal prowess, who has graced America’s Got Talent and collaborated with notable acts such as Primus and A Perfect Circle.
